We’re thrilled to welcome you into our group classes. We can’t wait to see you continue your wellness journey in this exciting new phase. Everything you need to know about getting started is in this email, so let’s dive it!
We want to introduce you to the community!
1. Download Slack on the app store or Google Play Store
2. Click this link and setup an account.
3. Fill out this form and we’ll introduce ya with a picture of your choosing instead of a sweaty one we take of you later 😉
4. Once you’ve joined, you’ll find several channels on the left side of the screen. Channels are like dedicated chat rooms where we discuss specific topics. Here are some you might be interested in:
- #announcements – for gym-wide announcements and important updates.
- #general – for general chatter, questions, etc.
- #celebrationstation – where we post birthdays, new babies, and graduations.
- #pets_of_lumos – post cute pictures of your furry ones, arrange petsitters, etc.
- #swapsies- want to get rid of something that someone else might use? Post it here!
Feel free to browse the channels and join those that pique your interest!
Booking Your First Group Class with KILO
Sign up for your first class via KILO, our user-friendly class booking system.
1. Download the KILO Athletes App (iOS) or bookmark the mobile site (Android): The KILO Athletes app will be where you RSVP for classes, make changes to your account, etc. If you are an Android user, the KILO website is extremely mobile friendly, make a shortcut to it on your home screen and you’re set!
2. Log In: You should have received an email from KILO upon joining with steps to set up your account, choose a password, etc. If you’re having trouble shoot us a message and we can resend the login email.
3. Book a Class: Once logged in, you will see the weekly schedule. Tap on the class you wish to join and hit ‘Reserve’. And voilà, you’re booked in!
4. Push Notifications: To make sure you never miss a class, you can opt-in for push notifications reminding you of your upcoming bookings.
Track Your Workouts with Beyond the Whiteboard
Step 1: Sign Up
- Visit the [BTWB website](https://www.btwb.com/).
- Click on the ‘Sign Up’ button at the top right corner of the page.
- Fill in your details – name, email address, and password. Don’t worry, they won’t spam you!
- Confirm your email by clicking the link sent to your inbox. This helps ensure it’s really you.
- Gym code: Lumos
Step 2: Navigate Your Home Screen
Once you’re logged in, you’ll land on your home screen. Here’s what you’ll find:
- Navigation Bar: This is at the top of the screen, with links to ‘Workouts’, ‘Plans’, ‘Analyze’, ‘Community’, and more. Use these to navigate to the different sections of the app.
- Your Today’s Training: This section shows your scheduled workouts for the day.
- Your Recent Activity: This displays your most recent workouts and your performance.
- Community Feed: A fun place to see what your Lumos pals are up to!
Step 3: Log Workouts
Now the fun part – logging your workouts!
- Click on ‘Log’ at the bottom of your screen.
- You’ll see a list of workout categories – Metcons, Lifts, Gymnastics, etc. Choose the one that matches your workout.
- Fill in the workout details – the type of workout, the weight you used, your time or reps, etc. Be as specific as you can for accurate tracking.
- When you’re done, hit ‘Save’.
